Diversity Jobs Index and Report Shows African American Unemployment Lingers Over 10%

In this month’s DJR, we shift the focus to veterans. Can understanding how the Federal Government has implemented workforce diversity initiatives offer the private sector new insights?   • African Americans are strongly represented in the Public Administration sector and make up 17.52% of the overall labor force in this sector during June.
  • Hispanics are strongly represented in the Hospitality and Leisure sector and make up 22.6% of the overall labor force in this sector during June.
  • Women are strongly represented in the Education and Health Services sector and make up 74.95% of the overall labor force in this sector during June.
  • Differently Abled Persons persons are strongly represented in the Agriculture sector and make up 5.75% of the overall labor force in this sector during June.
